Why Nitrogen in Tires ?

Tires inflated with nitrogen have been used racing cars and  and in Aviation . Lets analyze the concept.
 

Science says that , nitrogen is generally un-reactive at standard temperature and pressure. nitrogen has larger molecules than oxygen and therefore will keep the tires of the car at the proper pressure much longer than filling them with air.  

Nitrogen will be escaping 3-4 times slower than  oxygen out of the tires. Because of their big size, nitrogen molecules are the least permeable and reside in your tire longer.

The regular compressed air we use in Tires might be having moisture due to water which contributes to  rim corrosion , where the oxygen starts reacting and there by eventually spoiling in the inner lining and belt packages.
